Privacy Policy

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) is being used online. PII, as described in US privacy law and information security, is information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information in accordance with our website.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our websites?

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address or other details to help you with your experience.

When do we collect information?

We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to a newsletter, enter information on our site, or interact with automated features of our site such as personalized content, quizzes, or support requests.

How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter, respond to a survey or marketing communication, surf the website, or use certain other site features in ways that may include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing your transactions.
  • Sending emails regarding your order, account, or other products and services, including administrative and promotional communications.
  • Personalizing the content, offers, and recommendations you see on our site or in communications from us, using automated tools, which may include AI-powered tools, described elsewhere in this policy.
  • Providing customer support, which may include support drafted or assisted by AI tools.
  • Operating, maintaining, protecting, and improving our website, products, and services generally, including through analytics, testing, and internal research.
  • Complying with legal obligations and enforcing our agreements.

Do we use artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including large language models (LLMs)?

Yes. We use, and may in the future use, AI-powered tools, including large language models (LLMs) and related technologies (such as “MCP,” or “Model Context Protocol,” which lets software systems share information with each other and with AI tools), provided by us or by third-party vendors. Our use of these tools may include, but is not limited to:

  • Drafting, editing, or improving website content, emails, video descriptions, and other communications
  • Responding to or assisting with customer support inquiries
  • Summarizing or organizing customer support interactions, coaching call transcripts, session notes, or other records for our internal use
  • Powering internal workflow automations, integrations, and analytics between our software systems
  • Personalizing content, offers, or communications based on your activity or preferences
  • Any other operational, administrative, or customer-facing purpose we may adopt as our use of these technologies evolves

These tools currently operate only internally and are not used to interact directly with site visitors (for example, we do not currently use an AI-powered chat or support widget on the site). If that changes in the future, and a tool interacts directly with you in a way that requires disclosure under applicable law, we will provide that disclosure at the relevant point of interaction, in addition to this policy.

Content drafted or summarized with AI assistance may be reviewed by a member of our team before use, though we do not guarantee that every instance of AI-assisted output receives human review prior to use. AI tools are used as an aid to our operations and are not a substitute for our own responsibility over your personal information.

It is not our practice to use the personal information we collect through this site to train third-party or our own AI models, and we do not sell your personal information to any AI company or other party for the purpose of AI model training. We select and configure our AI and automation vendors with this practice in mind, and our current vendors’ terms indicate that data submitted through their services is not used for model training by default. [Confirm this is accurate for every tool in use today.]

If we discover that personal information has inadvertently been used for AI model training, whether by us or by a vendor, in a manner inconsistent with this policy, we will investigate, take reasonable steps to stop the practice, and notify affected individuals or regulators where required by applicable law. Our AI and automation vendors process personal information on our behalf subject to their own terms and privacy practices, which may change over time; we encourage you to review those third parties’ policies directly, and we will update this policy to reflect any material change in our own practices.

Do we use automated tools to personalize your experience or analyze your behavior?

Yes. We use, and may in the future use, tools that automatically tailor what you see on our site, in emails, or in other communications, based on information such as pages you’ve visited, purchases you’ve made, responses to on-site questionnaires, or other activity or preferences we collect. We also use, or may use, analytics and attribution tools that track how visitors arrive at and move through our site, including which marketing channel referred you, across one or more service providers.

This kind of personalization and analysis may affect things like which offers, headlines, content, or communications you’re shown. To our knowledge, it does not result in legal or similarly significant decisions about you, such as denial of services or a change in pricing you’re eligible for based solely on automated processing. If you have questions about how this works or want to exercise any rights available to you under applicable law, you can reach a real person on our support team using the contact information below.

How do we protect your information?

We take reasonable steps intended to protect your information, which may include periodic scanning for security vulnerabilities, malware scanning, network security controls, encryption of sensitive information such as payment details, and limiting access to personal information to those who need it to do their jobs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Payment transactions are generally processed through one or more third-party payment gateway providers and are not stored in full on our own servers, though records related to your order (such as order confirmations) may be retained by us.

Do we use ‘cookies’?

Yes. We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar tracking technologies (referred to collectively here as “cookies”) on our site and in our emails. Cookies are small files that a site or its service providers transfer to your device that enable recognition of your browser and the capture of certain information.

Our use of cookies may include, but is not limited to:

  • Remembering items in a shopping cart or facilitating checkout.
  • Remembering your preferences and settings for future visits.
  • Measuring and tracking the performance of advertisements, where applicable.
  • Compiling aggregate or individual data about site traffic, email engagement, and site or communication interactions, so that we and our service providers can offer improved experiences, personalization, and tools over time.
  • Any other purpose disclosed elsewhere in this policy, including analytics, attribution, and personalization.

We may use trusted third-party services to assist with any of the above. You can choose to have your browser warn you before accepting cookies, or you can disable cookies altogether, through your browser settings. Because browsers differ, consult your browser’s help resources for the correct steps. If you disable cookies, some site features may not function as intended.

Third-party disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Personally Identifiable Information to outside parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share information with service providers who process it on our behalf to help us run our business. We require these providers to use your information only to provide their service to us, though we do not control, and are not responsible for, their independent business practices.

Categories and current examples of service providers we use, which may change from time to time:

  • AI and automation tools: including, for example, Anthropic (Claude), used to draft content and summarize records, sometimes connected via MCP-based integrations between our other tools
  • Email and marketing automation: including, for example, Kit (ConvertKit)
  • Personalization and on-site testing: including, for example, RightMessage
  • Analytics and attribution: including, for example, SegMetrics, Google Analytics
  • Workflow automation: including, for example, Zapier
  • Content and file storage: including, for example, Google Drive, Notion
  • Meeting recording and transcription (coaching program participants only): including, for example, Fathom
  • Payment processing: Stripe, PayPal

This list reflects our current vendor stack and is not necessarily exhaustive. We may add, remove, or change service providers, including AI and automation vendors, as our business and technology needs evolve, and this policy will be updated accordingly. Where applicable law gives you the right to request the specific third parties your information has been shared with, you may contact us using the information below.

Third-party links

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

Google

Google’s advertising requirements can be summed up by Google’s Advertising Principles. They are put in place to provide a positive experience for users. https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/1316548?hl=en

We use Google AdSense Advertising on our website.

Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google’s use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to our users based on previous visits to our site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ad and Content Network privacy policy.

We have implemented the following:

  • Remarketing with Google AdSense
  • Google Display Network Impression Reporting
  • Demographics and Interests Reporting

We, along with third-party vendors such as Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) or other third-party identifiers together to compile data regarding user interactions with ad impressions and other ad service functions as they relate to our website.

Opting out: Users can set preferences for how Google advertises to you using the Google Ad Settings page. Alternatively, you can opt out by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative Opt Out page or by using the Google Analytics Opt Out Browser add-on.

California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA)

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach stretches well beyond California to require any person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting Personally Identifiable Information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared.

According to CalOPPA, we agree to the following:

  • Users can visit our site anonymously.
  • Once this privacy policy is created, we will add a link to it on our home page or, at minimum, on the first significant page after entering our website.
  • Our Privacy Policy link includes the word ‘Privacy’ and can easily be found on the page specified above.
  • You will be notified of any Privacy Policy changes on our Privacy Policy page.
  • You can change your personal information by logging in to your account.

How does our site handle Do Not Track signals? We do not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals, as there is not yet a common industry standard for how sites should interpret and honor them.

Does our site allow third-party behavioral tracking? We may use third-party advertising, analytics, and attribution tools that involve tracking of visitor behavior on our site and, in some cases, across other sites, as described elsewhere in this policy. The scope of this tracking may change as our vendor stack evolves.

COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act)

When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.

We do not knowingly market our site or services to children under the age of 13, and it is not our intent to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not knowingly allow third parties, including ad networks, plug-ins, or AI tools, to collect PII from children under 13 through our site. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Automated decision-making and profiling — your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights related to the automated personalization described above, including the right to ask what categories of personal information we’ve used for this purpose and to opt out of certain uses. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below.

Fair Information Practices

The Fair Information Practices Principles form the backbone of privacy law in the United States, and the concepts they include have played a significant role in the development of data protection laws around the globe.

In order to be in line with Fair Information Practices, we will take the following responsive action should a data breach occur: we will notify you via email within 7 business days.

We also agree to the Individual Redress Principle, which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

CAN-SPAM Act

The CAN-SPAM Act is a law that sets the rules for commercial email, establishes requirements for commercial messages, gives recipients the right to have emails stopped from being sent to them, and spells out tough penalties for violations.

We collect your email address in order to:

  • Send information, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions
  • Process orders and send information and updates pertaining to orders
  • Send you additional information related to your product and/or service
  • Market to our mailing list or continue to send emails to our clients after the original transaction has occurred

To be in accordance with CAN-SPAM, we agree to:

  • Not use false or misleading subjects or email addresses
  • Identify the message as an advertisement in some reasonable way
  • Include the physical address of our business or site headquarters
  • Monitor third-party email marketing services for compliance, if one is used
  • Honor opt-out/unsubscribe requests quickly
  • Allow users to unsubscribe by using the link at the bottom of each email

If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, you can:

  • Follow the “unsubscribe” instructions at the bottom of any email.
  • Email our support team and request removal from our database.

We will promptly remove you from all correspondence.
